TalentDesk ("we," "our," "the app") is a recruiting tool consisting of a Job Manager web app and a Chrome extension. This page explains what data we collect, how it's used, and who we share it with.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Supabase; your password is never visible to us in plain text. Billing is handled directly by Stripe — TalentDesk never receives or stores your card number.
Job descriptions and role criteria you add in the Job Manager (title, company, location, compensation, required experience, skills, etc.) are stored in our database, scoped privately to your account, so you can access them again across sessions and from the Chrome extension.
When you use the TalentDesk Chrome extension on a LinkedIn or LinkedIn Recruiter profile page, the extension reads the profile information already visible to you on that page — name, headline, location, summary, work experience, education, and skills. This data is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to score the candidate against your saved job criteria, and returns the result to the extension.
We do not store candidate profile data on our servers. It is processed for the single matching request and discarded; it is not retained in our database, sold, or shared with anyone other than Anthropic, solely for the purpose of generating your match results.
To show distance between a candidate and a job's location, city/zip text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service to resolve coordinates. No personal candidate identity is included in this request — only the location string.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your account and job data are retained until you delete your jobs or ask us to close your account. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at the address below.
All traffic between the extension, Job Manager, and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Database access is restricted at the row level so that only your authenticated account can read or write your own job data.
